If your provider already issued you one format, that's generally the one to use, converting between them adds a point of failure for little benefit. If you want maximum compatibility across the widest range of apps and devices, including general media players like VLC, M3U is the safer bet.

Which one is better?
Neither is universally better, they're different delivery formats for the same underlying idea. Can I convert an Xtream Codes login into an M3U link?

Does M3U support EPG at all?
